Artist Bio

Jan is a 2014 graduate from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, concentrating in painting.  She also received a minor in Art History.  During her college years, Jan’s main subject matter was nature and working in oil paint.  Since then, not much has changed.  She still looks to nature for inspiration but has moved on to acrylic paints and drawing more.  Her subject matter has also expanded to include mundane, everyday items along with social media posts by her family and friends.

Now, Jan juggles working a full time job, running a small business, and trying to maintain an art practice as well.  Jan currently resides in western Pennsylvania with her significant other and her chocolate lab, Bhindi, who enjoys a good nap in the studio
